Christophe Gans, the director of the first Silent Hill movie - who we already knew was reportedly working on a third Silent Hill film - made the surprisingly candid revelations during a recent interview in which he seemingly confirmed the persistent whispers that there’s more than one Silent Hill game in development, including one by a central internal Konami team. His interview also definitively confirms that Bloober Team is working on a Silent Hill 2 remake, several games are in development, he hasn’t worked with Kojima, and he “knows a bit about” the next upcoming game....

The news follows rating board confirmations in other parts of the world, too, including Brazil and Australia, and a leak of Skull & Bones’ four-minute tutorial video back in April, which Ubisoft eventually confirmed was real. The description shared on the ESRB website is the closest we’ve come to getting an idea of what the game - which is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox Series - entails since it underwent “extensive reworking” a couple of years back....

Sky is even partnering with Microsoft on the device’s software, which will let you sync your TV with others to watch films, sport and telly shows in a group while video and text chatting (thanks, The Verge). It’s like Snap never left. If that’s not Kinect-like enough, the camera will also offer the gestures controls for your TV apps, and even let you play games like Fruit Ninja - which, of course, also had a Kinect version....

But some of these slimes only appear in certain locations or at certain times, so this slime locations list will help you to track them all down. If you need more in a pinch, then remember finding Gordo locations will end up with a handful of the respective type when fed enough....

The bundle has been spotted across UK stores - though of course it’s mostly sold out. Released earlier this year, Horizon Forbidden West is Sony’s current premiere title for the console, though it was somewhat overshadowed by the release of Elden Ring a week later. This bundle should help to boost the game’s profile. As our deals page reported, the bundle costs around £500 for both the standard disc console and a digital copy of the game (it’s less for the disc-only console)....

These are all part of the grey camouflage collection, which Sony says will “bring a fresh unique aesthetic into play”. The collection consists of the DualSense controller, the Pulse 3D wireless headset, and console covers for the PlayStation 5. Here is a little preview for the collection for you to enjoy. These items are all “infused with unique patterns of the iconic PlayStation Shapes”, but you have to look quite closely to see them....

The new position - which will sit within PlayStation Global and, despite the pandemic, insists the successful candidate relocates to California - wants to “bring the best of the PlayStation experiences to markets and channels around the world”, hinting that Sony may be ready to further strengthen its PC presence. “The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategy and commercial activity within global channel sales and will deliver a single, optimised PC sales growth and commercial plan to hub and territory teams to implement [and] identifying future sectors & partnerships for commercial growth,” the job ad states (thanks, PC Gamer)....

In a response to a tweet by KFCGaming of all places, the official Splitgate account announced the plans. Forge mode, which made its debut in Bungie’s Halo 3, lets players edit and create playable maps that can then be shared with the community. Earlier last month, current Halo developer 343 Industries announced campaign-co-op and forge for Halo Infinite are delayed until after the game’s 8th December launch. 1047 recently received $100m in funding sparked by the surprise success of Splitgate, which now has over 13m downloads....

In a post shared by the official Stalker Twitter account, GSC wrote, “We hear you. Based on the feedback we received, we’ve made a decision to cancel anything NFT-related in Stalker 2”. “The interests of our fans and players are the top priority for the team,” it continued. “We’re making this game for you to enjoy - whatever the cost is. If you care, we care too.” An increasing number of developers and publishers have hopped aboard the NFT train in recent months, including Peter Molyneux, Dead by Daylight studio Behaviour Interactive, and Ubisoft with its new “energy-efficient” Quartz gaming platform, with plenty more expressing an interest in the technology....

Bloomberg said developer Aspyr fired the game’s art director and design director this month, and told staff the hotly-anticipated remake is “on pause”. The dramatic decision comes after Aspyr, which has been working on the game for three years, demoed a vertical slice to Lucasfilm and publisher Sony at the end of June. Apparently Aspyr bosses told staff this demo “wasn’t where they wanted it to be”. Aspyr and parent company Embracer have yet to comment....

That means the wholesome farming simulator has doubled its 10 million sales since January 2020, and sold five million copies since September 2021 alone. “The 20 million copies milestone is really amazing,” Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone said in an email to PC Gamer. “I can’t believe the game has reached this level. “The average daily sales of Stardew Valley are higher today than at any point,” he added....

Schreier tweeted to say Bethesda plans to tease this release date at E3 next month. Bethesda announced Starfield at E3 2018, calling the game its “next generation” first-person sci-fi RPG. That initial reveal showed us a ship unfurl itself in space via a very brief teaser trailer, before it warped out of existence. That teaser is below: Since then, Microsoft bought Bethesda, so expect Starfield to show up on PC and Xbox Series X and S, but not PlayStation 5....

“Due to the current environment, we are unable to send bank payments to Belarus, Russia and Ukraine,” reads an email sent by Valve to developers affected two weeks ago. Following criticism, this was followed up by a further email apologising for the lack of information and offering more detail on the issue. “This past week, our bank notified us that they will begin requiring that we provide intermediary bank information for all wire payments to accounts in Russia and Ukraine,” it reads....

This fifth outing for Valve’s indie-focussed Game Festival event is scheduled to begin Wednesday, 3rd February, at 6pm in the UK (that’s 10am PT), and the festivities cease one week later, on Tuesday, 9th February, at the same time. With 500 playable demos available for the duration of the event, it’s a wonderful, if rather intimidating, proposition for those that like to dig around in search of undiscovered gems. And Valve has notably avoided using the words “limited-time” on its Game Festival promo page this time around, so I’m hoping most of these demos will be sticking around after the event to give people a fighting change of working through the most intriguing ones....

The unamed teen has been charged with two counts of computer misuse, as well as two counts of breaching bail conditions. These latter charges likely refer to the teen’s previous run-in with police over hacking charges - when they were suspected of breaching both Microsoft and Samsung earlier in the year. In a statement issued by the City of London Police on Saturday morning, detective inspector Michael O’Sullivan wrote: “The City of London Police arrested a 17-year-old in Oxfordshire on Thursday 22nd September on suspicion of hacking, as part of an investigation supported by the National Crime Agency’s (NCA) National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU)....

“One of the most frequently asked questions we’ve received about Steam Deck,” Valve’s explains over on Steam, “is about the components inside it, and whether they’re replaceable or upgradable.
