Talking to Xbox Squad (thanks, VGC), the Canadian developer has reportedly doubled in size since We Happy Few, and is committed to making “unique games in little-used settings”. “With our new game, a narrative, third-person, story game, I don’t think we need any feedback. It’s not like a roguelike where you replay it multiple times and you need data to make sure the experience is fun,” Compulsion’s Naila Hadjas said, confirming the game is now in “full development” and that the studio will avoid an Early Access release this time around....

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who also worked on Cyberpunk 2077 as head of production and a secondary director, announced the move in a press release today. Splatoon 3 is being enjoyed worldwide, topping the UK boxed charts and smashing the record for the best Switch game launch in Japan. Unfortunately, some fans have been unable to join ink with the fun thanks to a number of connection issues. Numerous players have taken to social media reporting connection issues preventing them from joining matches, kicking them mid-match, and even losing progress in the single-player story campaign. A day after launch, the Japanese Twitter account for Splatoon 3 has posted an announcement sharing that Nintendo was aware of the connection issues currently impacting the game....

Sifu is a a third-person, single-player action game, focussed on “intense hand-to-hand combat”, that follows a young Kung Fu student on a path of revenge as he hunts down his family’s murderers with nothing but a mysterious pendant and, possibly, the ability to palm-smash someone’s nose out the back of their head. Actually that’s not quite true; as players make their way through Sifu’s world - “from the gang-ridden suburbs to the cold hallways of the corporate towers” - they’re encouraged to use everything at their disposal to overcome the odds and hunt down their targets, whether that be throwable objects or makeshift weapons strewn around the environment....
