This Community Day is an exciting one, because it marks the release of Stufful and Bewear - two Pokémon from Gen 7 - into Pokémon Go. So, if you want to fill in more Alola Pokédex entries, then you need to catch as many Stuffuls as you can! Shiny Stufful and Bewear are also being released as part of this Community Day and it’s a great opportunity to find a Stufful with 100% perfect IV stats, which means you should also know the best moveset for Bewear....

That’s according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who first reported on Sony’s Spartacus plans last December, claiming the new service would effectively combine the company’s two current PlayStation subscription offerings - PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now - into a single package split across three different subscription tiers. As per Bloomberg’s original report, the first of these three tiers is said to effectively be PlayStation Plus as it is today - that is, required to play online titles on PlayStation and providing a number of monthly games for subscribers to add to their libraries at no extra cost....

There was also the briefest of confirmations for a more mysterious Gran Turismo project - and now, Deadline has provided a few more details. For starters, Sony’s plan for Gran Turismo is to turn it into a film, though work is still “in very early development”. Neill Blomkamp, director of District 9, is reportedly being “eyed” to helm the project. Of course, Blomkamp is no stranger to the world of video games....

Where as the original Spelunky had major bosses at the end of certain runs, and mini-bosses which would appear depending on the randomness of your run, the sequel mixes things up a bit with presenting you with bosses at key moments - such as Quillback at the end of the first world. The good news is, you can ignore some bosses entirely - allowing you to treat them more as an environmental obstacle than something to be defeated and overcome....

GTA Online in 2022 is a particularly strange thing then, and it’s also much unlike anything else in gaming. Lunark chucks you into a mysterious future where industrialists are doing iffy things and something’s happened to the moon. It’s a 2D affair, and movement initially seems sluggish, a reminder of the days when graceful animation came at a price. After a quick robot tutorial, though, you’re introduced to the dash button, and you’ll soon be running and jumping and blasting critters all over the place. It’s the same mixture of elegance and awkwardness I remember from games like Flashback and Another World, and the same gleeful, colourful imagination regarding what the future will look like....

OK, well it sort of has. This new crossover actually adds customisations from 19 of Tekken 7’s characters for Virtua Fighter 5’s existing cast, so we are talking new costumes rather than any new moves. The game reached 9m sales last June, showing sales are still going strong for the five year old release. The updated figure takes the series’ sales up to 54m, as build-up towards Tekken 8 continues. The achievement was shared by Tekken game director Katsuhiro Harada. A 4K wallpaper featuring fan art can be downloaded from Bandai Namco’s official website to celebrate the milestone. Confirmation came via Dealabs leaker billbil-kun who - as well as confirming that Star Wars: Squadrons is currently free to add to your Epic Games Store library from now until next Thursday, 1st December - dropped a hint that the Epic Games Store will once again be running its “Advent Calendar” event. “Do you know if we’ll have an advent calendar again in December? (1 set per day)”, asked a curious poster, to which billbil-kun replied: “Yes, somewhere between December 15, 2022 and January 10, 2023,” (thanks, VGC)....

Following its success on Xbox Games pass, publisher Thunderful is expanding The Gunk’s reach even further. While no exact date has been given yet, it has been announced that the game will be making its way to “Steam and other PC platforms” this Spring. Along with The Gunk’s move to additional platforms, Thunderful has also revealed a new photo-mode for Xbox users. Citing photo mode as a “much-requested feature”, Thunderful states: “players will be given the tools to take and edit stunning shots of The Gunk, allowing the community to share images from the game online”....

Valderas Museum, set in Spain, was playable during the multiplayer open beta but has been removed from the final game. Activision declined to comment when asked about its removal. Valderas Museum was a controversial map during the beta, with players complaining that it was far too large for a 6v6 map and has too many open lines of sight. Perhaps its removal was a response to this feedback, with Infinity Ward reworking the map....

For the first few hours of Elden Ring, I was miserable. Before that though, the basics. To those who’ve played spiritual predecessor Two Point Hospital, Two Point Campus will be very familiar. The two games are near-identical in their approach: take something typically mundane and make a game of it, adding a healthy dose of oddball British humour. The controls are reassuringly familiar, the art style bright, detailed and easily readable, and university life is accompanied by an appropriately 80s soundtrack for all the gossipy, John Hughes drama....

The first of these games is Battlefields of Napoleon, and it includes all of its original packaging design (see below). The second one, however, now this is where things get really interesting. This enigmatic and very plain looking cartridge is labelled “CES SAMPLE” and is a demo game specifically for the Power Glove.
