In a series of tweets on his Japanese account, he shared some background information on the game celebrating the 35th anniversary of the series (thanks SiliconEra). In addition to this, Konami revealed that the sale of Bomber Coins and Premium Packs will end today (1st June), with the company asking for all unused Bomber Coins to be used “before the end of the service”. Konami did not go into the specifics of why it has made this decision, only citing “various circumstances” as the catalyst for the service’s closure. It’s not all bad news, however. While the end may be nigh for Super Bomberman R Online, Konami has hinted at its future plans for the series, saying it is “moving forward with new projects”....
“Purple Francis” was recently added to the encyclopaedic fan resource in quite some detail. While drive-by vandalism of wiki pages is common, the character was an unusually committed creation, spread across dozens of the site’s pages. It was enough for the matter to quickly get noticed and blow up on Twitter: Wiki entries detailed a fictional backstory and development history for the character - including his removal by Valve from retail copies of the game due to negative feedback, since Purple Francis was “just a recolouring of Francis” turned… purple....

The Arkesia Grand Prix, as the racing event is formally known, will be available for the next month until April’s update, and pits two teams of seven players against each other in a race where everyone is transformed into a cute axolotl/triceratops things and must try to prevent the other team from reaching their goal. Cakes are involved. Players will need to be level 50 to participate and can enter the event by speaking to the Arkesia Grand Prix Manager NPC in every major city aside from Prideholme....

Blizzard previously absorbed Vicarious Visions, the talented studio behind various Activision titles including the recent Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. That studio ultimately ended up working on Diablo franchise and has now been renamed Blizzard Albany.
