Both Venturebeat and Bloomberg [paywall] reported overnight on buyout discussions within Discord, with any sale expected to be worth $10bn. One unnamed company is said to be in final negotiations over a deal, Venturebeat claimed, though no deal has yet been signed. Alternatively, Discord may ultimately decide go public, Bloomberg’s report suggested. Its sources claimed no deal was “imminent”. Discord continues to grow in popularity but is yet to turn an annual profit....
Today, at Minecon Live, the developer announced a new update plan for the game named Seasonal Adventures, which will feature both free and premium rewards if you purchase an Adventure Pass. Completing new weekly challenges will earn you Adventure Points - though Mojang said you’ll also simply get these by playing the game normally. These points then unlock rewards in the Adventure Pass, such as new skins, capes, pets, emotes and flairs that trigger on certain conditions....

We found it genuinely enlightening, especially when animation takes such a prominent role in God of War. This is a game as much about its sumptuous presentation as it is the moment-to-moment playing. From what we’ve seen so far, Kratos and Atreus maintain that same wonderful sense of personality, the detail strong enough for each moment of stillness, when it does come, to feel as deliberate as their movement. There’s the same elastic snap to the swings and counters of Ragnarök combat’s combat as there was in 2018, and also many, many more kinds of enemy than before - something Velazquez himself knows has been a key request....
It’s the reverse of the game’s core mechanic, which sees you packing up houses and tossing sofas into the backs of dubiously-run delivery trucks. The thing is, I’d understand if you weren’t aware: when it came out back in 2019 Need for Speed Heat received such a muted reception it barely registered beyond the series’ faithful.
