Rocket League is, of course, no stranger to Halloween celebrations, and it’s annual Haunted Hallows limited-time event returns again this year, albeit with a new DC Comics twist. Kicking off tomorrow, 14th October, and running until 1st November, this year’s Haunted Hallows event will feature a specially transformed limited-time Rumble mode featuring power-ups inspired by Batman and chums, including Joker’s Boxing Glove, Harley’s Hammer (which replaces the Boot), and Poison Ivy’s vines, standing in for the Grappling Hook....

According to complainants, the ads in question made light of sexual assault, even going so far as to actively encourage it. The first ad to be reported was for a mobile game app from OneSoft Studio named Naughty Puzzle: Tricky Test. It showed an animated woman wearing what appeared to be short shorts and a vest top struggling to free herself from a broken fence. Meanwhile, a man was depicted in the foreground, with the user then presented with the option to “HELP” the woman (shown by a picture of the broken fence) or “SLAP” the woman....

Rare’s multiplayer Xbox and PC pirate adventure launched in March 2018, and has grown steadily since. There’s not a lot to report on Season 2 just yet, but - barring minor tweaks to the formula - it should continue the template established by Sea of Thieves’ current, inaugural season, offering a three-month-long schedule of content updates and events, built around a fresh battle pass. Arriving as part of a free update accompanying The Sims 4’s next major expansion, High School Years, which launches on 28th July, the feature will add a new Sexual Orientation tab to the game’s Create-A-Sim screen. Here, player will have the opportunity to tinker with three settings that will impact how Sims interact with others in-game. The first option enables players to choose whether a Sim is romantically attracted to men, women, both, or neither, meaning they’ll turn down romantic advances made by Sims that don’t fit that profile....

Writing on the PlayStation website, and corroborating an earlier report by TheGamer, Sony confirmed it would be closing the PS3 store on 2nd July, and that all remaining PSP purchase functionality will cease at the same time. The Vita store will close on 27th August. Once the stores close, it will no longer be possible to purchase digital content for PS3, Vita, and PSP - including games, in-game purchases, and videos - and wallet fund vouchers will no longer be redeemable on the platforms....
