It does seem surprising that FromSoftware would cut content based on the character on the front cover, though I always assumed that was just the player character. I was wrong! In the final game, players encounter Vyke twice: first as an invasion and second as an Evergaol boss....
That’s according to AisulMV on Twitter, who found that a ‘Find a Battle Pass Partner’ screen existed within the game’s files (thanks, VGC). AisulMV stated this feature was for “battle pass linking”, and may be introduced alongside season one (which, in case you missed it, has been delayed). Word of a PlayStation 5 remake for The Last of Us first surfaced in April 2021 when Bloomberg reported the project had initially been in the works at Sony’s San Diego-based Visual Arts Service Group before Naughty Dog was asked to take over. Further evidence of the project’s existence emerged earlier this year, when a member of Naughty Dog’s QA team listed an “unannounced remake” on their resumé - a reference since removed....
During last week’s Summer Game Fest, one of the key arguments Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann made for remaking The Last of Us - a game that already got the remaster treatment in 2014 - was that the additional power of modern hardware would enable it to get closer to its “original vision”. Druckmann specifically highlighted the remake’s rebuilt character models and faces as an example, insisting these were able to better reflect the cast’s original performances....

First revealed at last year’s Game Awards, the Victorian-era “gaslamp fantasy” survival game is now set for an early access release in the first half of next year. For PC only and developed in Unreal Engine 5, it’s a game aimed at co-op PvE gameplay with no plans for PvP. Really, though, it’s the setting of this shared world that’s most intriguing. Expeditions, if you’re unfamiliar, are effectively No Man’s Sky’s stab at live-service-style seasonal content, serving up limited-time, curated experiences that condense and reshuffle its various systems into a series of progression-based milestone challenges. As rumoured, the RTX 3060 Ti has a baby brother: the plain ‘ol RTX 3060. The new graphics card ought to look identical from the outside - although it’s somehow pictured with only a single fan in Nvidia’s press materials - but it uses Nvidia’s low-end GA106 GPU rather than the mid-range GA104 we saw at the heart of the 3060 Ti and 3070. From the charts provided by the Green Team, the 3060 should deliver roughly RTX 2070 or 2070 Super levels of performance - meaning comfortable 1080p or decent 1440p gaming in AAA titles, perhaps stretching to 4K in older games or at reduced settings....
The developer released a video, below, detailing changes coming to PvP in the upcoming shooter. Chief among them is the switch from 6v6 to 5v5. In the standard PvP game modes of Overwatch 2, each team contains one tank, two damage and two support characters. This makes for a significant shift, Blizzard said, in terms of map design and the dynamics between roles. Explaining the decision, Blizzard said the heart of the change lies in mentality surrounding the role of the tank....
99 players play Pac-Man simultaneously, and attempt to be the last Pac-person standing. As with other 99 games, you can disrupt your fellow players. Chomping ghosts will send “Jammer Pac-Mans” to their screens, which will slow them down. Pac-Man 99 also introduces Sleeping Ghosts, a new stationary enemy you can wake to gobble up en masse with a Power Pellet. Doing so will create dozens of Jammer Pac-Mans to fire at your rivals....
