In general, there are two ways of earning XP - by completing story missions, and by participating in combat and parkour, the latter of which will reward you with skill points to help develop them further with new abilities. Though it’s generally a case of doing more of both, there are a few recommended things to priortise if you want to get XP quicker. While you gain XP through fighting or climbing in broad daylight, you’ll gain bonus XP for each of these actions as night....

Released on PC earlier this summer, it will be available across PlayStation and Xbox consoles from 10th February 2022, with a cloud version following on Switch on 23rd February 2022. The game is most notable for its soundtrack from Chrono Trigger and Xenoblade Chronicles composer Yasunori Mitsuda. The console versions will include all updates and fixes from the PC release. In addition, all versions will receive full Japanese voice acting from 10th February....

Drone races see you go up against against champions from Kamurocho, and getting these Drone Parts and Drone Upgrades - which can also be obtained through Quickstarter - gives you an edge in races. Though the starting version of your Drone might do just fine investigating crime scenes, it can barely stand the first few races against beginner competitors. If you plan to follow this side activity and become an airborne professional, developing Drone Parts is essential....

Revealed tonight at The Game Awards, Rumbleverse sees players fighting for weapons and upgrades across the top of skyscrapers. It will be published by Epic Games on PC and also available for PlayStation and Xbox when it arrives on 8th February. Cross-progression and crossplay will be supported, and there will be a PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S “first-look gameplay event” later today. Grimoire of Souls was initially announced back in 2018, promising a portable slice of gothic action-platforming focussed on the adventures of Genya Arikado - a “persona of Alucard - as he attempted to stop the impending resurrection of Dracula. That quest took him to worlds inside magical grimoires for familiar bouts of side-scrolling action, playable both solo and co-operatively, and across a variety of different modes - with the game featuring a number of other playable characters, including Simon Belmont, Maria Renard, Charlotte Aulin, and, Glyph Master Shanoa....

The retail version of Mighty Bowser is, of course, already pretty sizeable, weighing in at 2,807 pieces, making it the largest Lego Mario adult set yet. However, the San Diego version absolutely crushes that like a sudden Thwomp to the bonce, utilising over 663,900 bricks to create its magnificent heft. And if that wasn’t enough, the 14-ft tall version is even articulated, able to move its thumbs, shift its arms, swivel its head and eyes indepently, and waggle its eyebrows for good measure....

Little Nightmares 2’s Enhanced Edition aims to give the already richly atmospheric experience - which follows the adventures of new protagonist Mono and returning character Six through the grim streets of Pale City - an even moodier boost with a range of primarily visual enhancements. There’s ray-traced reflections, for starters, bringing live reflections to Little Nightmare’s various shiny surfaces, as well as improved volumetric shadows - which, as publisher Bandai Namco explains in its announcement post, “add even more depth and detail to every object and enhance how rays of light are interrupted by moving objects”....

The Logitech G Cloud, which launches in North America on 17th October priced $299.99, is an Android-based streaming-only handheld that comes with Xbox Cloud Gaming pre-installed. With full Xbox Cloud Gaming support, it will play games in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, including the likes of Grounded, Sea of Thieves, Halo Infinite and the recently-added Deathloop. You can play Fortnite for free, without a Game Pass subscription. The device itself weighs in at 463g....

The project utilises The Division’s Snowdrop engine and is led by The Division 2 director Julian Gerighty. Those early details come from a new Wired report on this week’s flurry of announcements from Lucasfilm Games. The report also points out that today’s announcement marks a definite end to Disney and EA’s much-trumpeted 10-year deal of exclusivity for AAA Star Wars projects. When asked about that 10-year period of agreement, Lucasfilm Games declined to go into specifics....

Super Mario Maker 2 is the DIY-platformer that allows you to create your own devilishly difficult stages for other players to complete, or test yourself against those made by others. There’s also a pre-crafted campaign that’s well worth a playthrough by itself Meanwhile, The Origami King is the latest entry in Mario’s cutesy and very silly RPG spin-off adventures, which Tom called “a heartfelt creation that doesn’t quite stand up” in his review....
