Atlus has confirmed that it’s partnering with Pandasaurus Games to publish the card game designed by Emerson Matsuuchi, whose prior work includes the tabletop games Century: Eastern Wonders and Foundations of Rome. “Players will take on the roles of their favorite Phantom Thieves and fight to change the world in this cooperative card-based strategy game,” Matsuuchi said. Co-owner of Pandasaurus Games, Nathan McNair, added: “As a diehard fan of Persona 5 Royal – I cannot wait to bring the Palaces, Velvet Room and world of Persona 5 Royal onto tabletops everywhere in 2023....

Set in medieval France, A Plague Tale will now be adapted using talent from the country. Interest in adapting the series by US production studios was passed over to keep the show closer to its setting and to the games’ original Bordeaux-based developer Asobo (thanks, Allocine). There’s no word yet on a production schedule or casting. French director Mathieu Turi (who worked as assistant director on Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds) has now confirmed his involvement in the series via Twitter....

The ABK Workers Alliance was established last summer, in response to a State of California lawsuit calling Activision Blizzard a “breeding ground for harassment and discrimination against women”. Since then, the group has continued its mission to push for change at the publisher, launching a bid for unionisation, setting up a Strike Fund for employees, and calling for the removal (alongside the 1,800 employees that signed a related petition) of controversial CEO Bobby Kotick - who was said to have been aware of the allegations of sexual misconduct and mistreatment of female employees across many parts of the company “for years” in a damning Wall Street Journal report released in November....

All animal villagers in the game wear clothes (besides rockstar pup KK Slider) and a big appeal is designing clothes for them to wear. But a glitch in the Happy Home Paradise DLC causes villagers to inexplicably shed their clothes, turning the island into a happy nudist paradise instead. The glitch appears to occur only in the cafe, one of the unlockable facilities you can design on Lottie’s vacation islands, although there’s no further information on why this occurs, or how to fix it....

In bringing Apex Legends to Switch, EA certainly chose a partner with pedigree - core porting work is carried out by Panic Button, riding high after the success of the excellent Switch conversion of Doom Eternal. But this is a title that represents a major challenge: it’s a game with a huge, detailed map, it’s a full-on battle royale with 60 players, and it’s running on Respawn Entertainment’s rendition of the Source Engine, never designed with mobile play in mind (though Source itself was ported to Android, with several Valve titles running on Shield Android TV using the same Tegra X1 chipset)....
