Filling up attachment slots was common advice for previous Call of Duty games, since the drawbacks were negligible compared to the benefits. But the community now thinks filling up all five attachment slots in MW2 may not be optimal, with drawbacks for many attachments not outweighing the benefits. In other words, this is the first Call of Duty where mindlessly adding attachments may be a bad idea. The biggest change is the addition of diamond icons above enemy heads to increase visibility. In the beta, there was no indicator to differentiate between friendly and enemy players. This was traditionally achieved through name tags in previous games, but Infinity Ward took the design decision to remove them, seemingly to add to realism. Players didn’t take kindly to the change and called for the return of name tags. Diamond icons are therefore a compromise between good enemy visibility and realism....

Developer Polyarc unveiled the release date today, and shared a fresh gameplay trailer. This follow-up to the original acclaimed adventure continues the story of adorable mouse Quill, and picks up right where the first game left off. Expect more puzzles and scrapes for our mousy hero. The original Moss eventually found its way to PC-based VR platforms - though there’s no word on those for the follow-up just yet. “Game handles”, a unique and public username, were first spotted in the Netflix app by Steve Moser (later reported by Tech Crunch). The launch of this feature happened quietly last month and is currently only available for some of Netflix’s games, including Into the Breach, Mahjong Solitaire and Heads Up!. Only letters and numbers can be used in handles, which will be displayed publicly while playing instead of a profile icon and name....

The news comes almost a year to the day after Warner Bros. Select games will also include the alternative of the European PAL version with other language options. Last month, Nintendo fans were left to wonder whether these releases might be 50Hz only after the European Switch Online + Expansion Pack announcement included footage of PAL games running apparently at 50Hz. Nintendo had previously declined to comment on the matter when contacted by Eurogamer. There’s still no word on how much a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription will cost, and no concrete release date yet beyond “the end of October”....
